In order to take care of his fellow countrymen who came south to make a living, Kapitan Yap Ah Loy, who was a hero in the founding of Kuala Lumpur, established the "Huizhou Company" for his fellow countrymen to rest and rest. This was the predecessor of the Huizhou Association.

Due to the reconstruction of Huizhou Guild Hall, the school moved to a temporary site at the private garden of Mr. Huang Bocai, the chairman of the board of directors, on Lengjia Mountain.
1940
The Huiqiao Mutual Aid Association allocated NT$10,000, and Mr. Huang Bocai donated NT$10,000 to purchase the current site of the Loke Yew Lu School, intending to build a new school building. Later, Prime Minister Huang Bocai passed away, and Principal Zheng Weixin resigned for some reason, so the school construction plan was temporarily shelved.
1941
Mr. Guan Wensheng took over as prime minister and hired Mr. Chen Zongyu as principal.
1942
Japan invaded the south and the school was closed.
1945
The Japanese surrendered on August 15, and Zhu Ronglu, Liao Peiru, Qiu Man, Xiao Man, Ye Liji and Ye Xinru advocated the reopening of the school. The school resumed classes in December of that year, using the Huizhou Guild Hall as a temporary school building, and Mr. Zheng Weixin was hired as the principal (1945-1950).
1947
Mr. Zhu Ronglu was elected as the chairman of the board of directors. He strongly advocated the establishment of a school and first built a temporary school building at the current location of Loke Yew Road.
1950
Principal Zheng Weixin resigned and was succeeded by Yang Jiren as principal (1950-1954).
1953
Mr. Li Nanyan served as the chairman of the school construction committee and planned the construction of a new school building.
1954
The magnificent school building, which cost $300,000 and includes 20 classrooms, an auditorium, an office and a sanitary toilet, was declared completed.

1955
A junior high school department was added, and in the first year, four classes of first-year junior high school students were admitted, with a total of more than 170 students. Ms. Yang Jiren was in charge of the school administration, and Mr. Zhang Yelong was the director of the middle school department.
1956
At the end of 1955, the board of directors was re-elected, with Mr. Deng Huaishi as the president and Mr. Zhang Liansheng as the principal of Xunren Primary and Secondary School (1956). Ms. Yang Jiren was appointed as the head of the primary school and Mr. Zhang Yilong was appointed as the head of the secondary school. At the end of 1956, Mr. Liao Yugang took over as the president and appointed Zhang Yilong as the principal of Xunren Primary and Secondary School, and Ms. Yang Jiren was appointed as the head of the primary school and the head of discipline of the secondary school.
1957
After the first batch of junior high school students graduated from the secondary school, the board of directors applied to the government to add a high school, but was not approved. The primary school of Xunren School was restructured and became a standard Chinese primary school, and soon changed to a national Chinese primary school.
1958
The board of directors was reorganized, with Mr. Deng Huaishi as the chairman of the middle school and Mr. Liao Yugang as the chairman of the primary school. The primary and secondary schools were separated in terms of administration, with Mr. Zhang Yelong serving as the principal of the middle school and Ms. Yang Jiren serving as the principal of the primary school.
1961
Mr. Liu Huaigu was elected as the chairman of the board. In April of that year, the Education Bureau issued a notice that primary and secondary schools could not share school buildings. The board of directors immediately began to plan the construction of a primary school building. Within half a year, a new school was built on the site allocated by the Kampung Bandung government, with 14 classrooms and a construction cost of NT$150,000.
1962
The Education Act 1961, which was formulated based on the Rahman Talib Report, came into effect. Many Chinese secondary schools in Malaysia accepted government subsidies and were converted into national secondary schools. Our school did not accept the change and became an independent secondary school. Government subsidies were then stopped and we added a high school department that year.
1963
As the number of students doubled and the school building became insufficient, the tenth class of the first grade of junior high school changed to afternoon classes, and the board of directors prepared to build a new school building.
1964
The four-story Lee Kuo College Science Building and a large cafeteria, which cost more than NT$200,000, were completed. The first batch of high school graduates completed their studies.
1966
The Xunren Evening School, which had been in operation for 20 years, was ordered to close.
1968
Planning to build a library building is underway.
1969
Mr. Li Nanyan was elected as the chairman (1969-1975). The library building was completed, with three floors, the ground floor as a gymnasium, the second floor as classrooms, and the third floor as a library, reading room and study room.
1975
Mr. Li Nanyan resigned and the board of directors was re-elected. Mr. Huang Shishou took over as chairman and Mr. Ye Liji as vice chairman.
1978
15 directors resigned collectively in the first month of the year, and on January 28, a bombing occurred on campus. These two unfortunate events temporarily put the school into an unstable period.
1981
On November 7, the Board of Directors and the Alumni Association of Xunren School jointly held a banquet for 1,000 people to commemorate the 27th anniversary of Xunren School, to raise funds for the school development fund. This was the first time in the history of Xunren School that it raised donations from the public, and a total of more than 550,000 yuan was raised.

1984
The campus wall was built, with the construction fee donated by Mr. Huang Shishou. A computer center was established, and 12 1MS 8000S computers were purchased to provide computer courses for students to take.
1985
In July, Principal Zhang Yelong took leave due to illness and Vice Principal Chen Yonghai took over as acting principal (August 1985 - December 1987).
1986
The Board of Directors established the "School Affairs Promotion Committee" to help promote school organization and school affairs and plan the development plan of Xunzhong, so that Xunzhong can move forward one step further. The Board of Directors appointed Mr. Lai Xingxiang as the principal. Deputy Education Minister, Mr. Yun Shijin, visited our school on May 8. The school plan was approved by the Ministry of Education in late September. Deputy Finance Minister, Dato’ Loke Yin Yew, visited our school to hand over the tax exemption certificate for the 3 million donation for the school construction fund.

1991
The number of students applying for admission increased dramatically, and 200 new students were rejected due to lack of classrooms. After many twists and turns, the expansion project finally received the approval from the City Hall to start construction. The board of directors set up a large-scale school building fund-raising committee to launch a large-scale fundraising campaign. In addition, a school building expansion committee was also established. According to the original plan, a new five-story school building was built in the open space behind the original auditorium.
On August 17, a grand banquet for 10,000 people was held on campus, raising 1.44 million yuan for the expansion of the school building.

May: Our school and Taiwan Changhua Normal University jointly organized the "Overseas Credit Course for Chinese Independent High School Teachers' Education Empowerment" and officially started classes during the May holiday. This course is divided into 4 stages and is designed to train 25 young teachers in our school. The school will bear all tuition fees for this course.
Our student Qiu Junhao (graduated in 2011) represented Malaysia in the Asian Physics Olympiad in May and won the HM Special Award.
August: The 4th International Volunteer Service Exchange Activity between Xunzhong High School and Yongping High School in New Taipei City, Taiwan was successfully held from August 9 to 16. The biggest feature of this activity was that the directors and parents of both schools also participated in the volunteer service activities. March: A group of enthusiastic alumni from the 70s, led by Tan Sri Gu Runjin, hosted the “Love My Xunzhong Chinese New Year Gala Dinner” on March 14 for alumni who graduated from the 70s and 80s. The auditorium lighting and sound system donated by the alumni were used that night, and the proceeds of RM100,000 from the dinner sales were donated to their alma mater.
May: From May 26 to 31, teachers from Xunzhong went to Taiwan for a professional learning course (PLC). In addition to visiting schools, they also attended the 2015 Taiwan Learning Community Lesson Study Academic Seminar. On May 29, we established a sister school relationship with New Taipei City Xindian Senior High School.
July: On July 4, the concert “Xun Xin Wonderful Music” was hosted by the Xunzhong Wind Orchestra, Chorus, Dance Troupe and New Taipei City Xindian Senior High School Orchestra.

December: 18 faculty members and 12 alumni of the Xunzhong Music Research Society who graduated in the 1970s were invited to attend the "Perfect Charity Video Festival" held in Beijing from December 21 to 27. The delegation visited famous places in Beijing and Guangdong.
From December 18th to 25th, an international volunteer service and exchange experience group composed of the senior group of Xunzhong School, the Police Cadet Corps, the Scout Group and the St. John's Ambulance went to Taiwan.

By establishing a professional learning community (PLC) for teachers to improve traditional teaching methods, teachers are required to develop more creative teaching plans, so that teachers can change from traditional knowledge indoctrination to learning catalysts, and students can change from traditional passive learners to masters of learning. This is to respond to the current trend of educational reform, including: stimulating active learning; encouraging collaborative learning; providing personalized, individualized learning; effective learning, and fair learning.
April: The first anniversary celebration was held on April 7, the first day of classes at Hsin Chuan Primary School. There were many activities, including a school anniversary thanksgiving rally, student art exhibition, nostalgic photo exhibition, school history exhibition and 62nd anniversary thanksgiving dinner.
July: In addition to the traditional service locations, the international volunteer service exchange activities with Yongping Senior High School in New Taipei City also went to remote rural areas for the first time to serve in small Chinese primary schools. The first service target was Lin Ming Chinese Primary School in Pahang.
Our school, together with New Taipei City's Xindian High School, traveled to Ban Tai to organize a concert as music volunteers to help Ban Tai Yu Qing Middle School raise educational funds.

Continuing with the core mission of 2017, we strive to implement high-level thinking, creativity, leadership, knowledge, character, reading and international mobility based on the image of secondary school students.
The board of directors meeting in October 2017 approved a plan to reduce the number of classes teachers teach per week and include living allowances in the calculation of monthly salaries, which will be implemented starting January 2018.
March: The English Teaching Center's computer-related equipment, which had been used for many years, was completely updated. For the first time, a centrally controlled virtualization system (EDVI) was adopted, and servers and 140 computers were replaced.

The 5th floor toilet of Guoguang Building has been expanded and renovated, and lockers, changing rooms and bathrooms have been added. A solar water heater has been installed on the rooftop to provide students with more convenient living facilities during the school holiday camp. The equipment was opened for use at the end of May.
October: On 13 October, Mr Huang Shishou, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the School since 1975, passed away.
November: Construction of a new library began to provide a better study space for students. The new library is designed with floor-to-ceiling glass, combined with the green courtyard outside to make the view space wider and more natural. Free Internet access is provided inside and outside the new library to facilitate students' learning.
From November 20 to 27, 20 teachers from our school went to Taichung Tunghai University to attend the professional development workshop and visited Taichung Wenhua High School for on-site learning. Our school became a sister school with Taichung Wenhua High School on November 26.
December: The classroom multimedia computer equipment that had been used for many years was updated with short-throw projectors, interactive electronic whiteboards, and multimedia all-in-one terminals (with built-in virtualized computer terminals) to serve all teachers and students in the school; the music room, 2 craft rooms and 4 science laboratories were equipped with the same configuration.
The entire campus network is being rebuilt. The plan adopts a ring network construction, equipped with new firewalls, network load balancers, switches and wireless base stations at all levels, and fiber optic links are laid between floors. The internal network speed can currently reach 10G, and space for future expansion is reserved. There are a total of 3 Unifi (bandwidth of 800Mps each) broadband networks for external use. The new equipment will be used in the new school year of 2019.
The school started to repaint all the buildings. The first buildings to be repainted were the Guoguang Building and the Lee Kuo College Science Building. Then, during the holidays, the Huang Shih-Shou Teaching Building, the English Teaching Center, the Administration Building, and the Auditorium Complex were repainted one after another.
The board of directors meeting in October 2017 approved a plan to reduce the number of classes teachers teach per week and include living allowances in the calculation of monthly salaries, which will be implemented starting January 2018.
March: The English Teaching Center's computer-related equipment, which had been used for many years, was completely updated. For the first time, a centrally controlled virtualization system (EDVI) was adopted, and servers and 140 computers were replaced.
May: From May 22 to 30, the board of directors and teachers of Xunzhong went to Shanghai, Nanjing and Hangzhou, China for an educational investigation. The delegation visited many famous universities, such as Shanghai Fudan University, Shanghai Jiaotong University, Nanjing University and Zhejiang University; and visited and studied at Nanjing Xingzhi Education Base.

2019
The core task of the school this year is to strive to integrate learning technology into teaching, and combine it with the teaching model of "learning community", requiring teachers to develop more creative teaching plans, prompting teachers to change from traditional knowledge indoctrination to learning catalysts, and in line with the development of artificial intelligence, students will change from traditional passive learners to masters of learning. It is hoped that through these changes, students will be inspired to actively learn and encouraged to learn collaboratively, so as to achieve effective and fair learning.
April: On April 3, the new library was inaugurated and named Huiqin Library. From April 6 to April 11, a series of activities were held to celebrate the 64th anniversary of Xunzhong, including the large-scale performance "Thirty Years of Wu Yi, Xing Yi Xunzhong" and the "Xing Yi Xunzhong" Thanksgiving Dinner held by the alumni of the 1990s to celebrate the anniversary. From April 8 to April 11, the annual sports meeting was held for the first time in conjunction with the school anniversary: the School Anniversary Sports Carnival. The opening ceremony was also arranged in the evening for the first time, allowing the board of directors, teachers, students, alumni, and parents to participate. This year's school anniversary also held a mascot design competition, and finally selected the mascot "Dou Er" as the mascot of this school anniversary.

December: Year-end holiday upgrade works include renovation of the exterior walls of the Administration Building; installation of floor tiles, partition walls and interior wall painting in the classrooms of the Guoguang Building; replacement of drainage gutters in the Huang Shih-shou Teaching Building; replacement of air conditioners in the Administration Building, Guoguang Building, Li Guozhuan Building and Huang Shih-shou Building that are more than 15 years old; painting of the exterior walls of the auditorium, lecture hall, parking lot, basketball court and Hui Cui Garden.

Principal Zeng Xianrui retired, and the board of directors hired former first vice principal Luo Hongxian to run the school. The school's key task is to develop more creative teaching plans through the operation of the teacher professional learning community (PLC) to cultivate students' high-level thinking and improve their problem-solving and innovation abilities.
March: Due to the outbreak of the new coronavirus, the Movement Control Order (MCO) was implemented nationwide. In response to this measure, the school replaced the physical teaching mode with online teaching mode. All teachers and students in the school took classes at home, and classes were suspended but learning continued.
June: Students began to return to school for physical classes. In compliance with the SOP stipulated by the government, the school adopted a parallel approach of online and physical classes. All students in the school took turns to return to school for physical classes in the form of A and B classes.
The current Form 3 students will only take the Unified Examination in December, and the school will hold a graduation ceremony in January 2021, and the Form 3 students will officially graduate. Form 2 students will also be postponed to March 2021 to take the SPM examination.
