In order to take care of his fellow countrymen who came south to make a living, Kapitan Yap Ah Loy, who was a hero in the founding of Kuala Lumpur, established the "Huizhou Company" for his fellow countrymen to rest and rest. This was the predecessor of the Huizhou Association.

Under the advocacy of Huizhou predecessors Luo Yu, Ye Chunzhang, Luo Mao, Huang Maiting, Ye Guilin, Liao Biquan and others, the private school in the guild hall was transformed into a new-style school and named "Xunren School". Ye Longxing served as the general manager and Lin Shanru was hired as the first principal.

The Huizhou Association organized an education committee to plan the resumption of classes and hired Mr. Deng Bingzhen as the principal.

Huang Bocai initiated the establishment of the "Huiqiao Mutual Aid Association". The association's charter clearly stipulates that the commemorative funds paid by members, in addition to the annual commemorative expenses, will be allocated to the regular expenses of the Xunren School.

The Huiqiao Mutual Aid Association allocated NT$10,000, and Mr. Huang Bocai donated NT$10,000 to purchase the current site of the Loke Yew Lu School, intending to build a new school building. Later, Prime Minister Huang Bocai passed away, and Principal Zheng Weixin resigned for some reason, so the school construction plan was temporarily shelved.

Japan invaded the south and the school was closed.

Mr. Zhu Ronglu was elected as the chairman of the board of directors. He strongly advocated the establishment of a school and first built a temporary school building at the current location of Loke Yew Road.

Mr. Li Nanyan served as the chairman of the school construction committee and planned the construction of a new school building.

A junior high school department was added, and in the first year, four classes of first-year junior high school students were admitted, with a total of more than 170 students. Ms. Yang Jiren was in charge of the school administration, and Mr. Zhang Yelong was the director of the middle school department.

After the first batch of junior high school students graduated from the secondary school, the board of directors applied to the government to add a high school, but was not approved. The primary school of Xunren School was restructured and became a standard Chinese primary school, and soon changed to a national Chinese primary school.

Mr. Liu Huaigu was elected as the chairman of the board. In April of that year, the Education Bureau issued a notice that primary and secondary schools could not share school buildings. The board of directors immediately began to plan the construction of a primary school building. Within half a year, a new school was built on the site allocated by the Kampung Bandung government, with 14 classrooms and a construction cost of NT$150,000.

As the number of students doubled and the school building became insufficient, the tenth class of the first grade of junior high school changed to afternoon classes, and the board of directors prepared to build a new school building.

The Xunren Evening School, which had been in operation for 20 years, was ordered to close.

Mr. Li Nanyan was elected as the chairman (1969-1975). The library building was completed, with three floors, the ground floor as a gymnasium, the second floor as classrooms, and the third floor as a library, reading room and study room.

15 directors resigned collectively in the first month of the year, and on January 28, a bombing occurred on campus. These two unfortunate events temporarily put the school into an unstable period.

The campus wall was built, with the construction fee donated by Mr. Huang Shishou. A computer center was established, and 12 1MS 8000S computers were purchased to provide computer courses for students to take.

The Board of Directors established the "School Affairs Promotion Committee" to help promote school organization and school affairs and plan the development plan of Xunzhong, so that Xunzhong can move forward one step further. Renovate and paint the school building and office building and replace the electrical wires.

The Board of Directors appointed Mr. Lai Xingxiang as the principal. The school's administrative organization and teaching system were reformed, and full-day classes for the first grade of junior high school were organized. The gymnasium was converted into a dormitory for boys and girls and boarding students were enrolled. The computer center was expanded, scientific equipment was added, and brass band instruments were purchased. A new school building was planned to accommodate more Chinese primary school graduates.

On February 10, Principal Zhang Yelong passed away.

The "Top Ten Night" was held for the benefit of the school, sponsored by Nanyang Siang Pau and sponsored by Carlsberg Brewery, raising NT$330,000 for development and school construction. In the same year, the sponsors' meeting approved the reduction of the number of Huizhou Association representatives from 15 to 2.

Deputy Education Minister, Mr. Yun Shijin, visited our school on May 8. The school plan was approved by the Ministry of Education in late September. Deputy Finance Minister, Dato’ Loke Yin Yew, visited our school to hand over the tax exemption certificate for the 3 million donation for the school construction fund.

The new five-story Guoguang Building, which is connected to the Lee Kuo College Science Building, is put into use. It has a total of 24 classrooms and equipment. The construction cost is NT$1.25 million.

41 classes were opened in the new school year, and the number of faculty members increased from 76 to 94. The board of directors implemented a monthly salary system to replace the salary-saving system. Teachers reduced the number of classes and improved teaching efficiency.

The "Xunren Secondary School Outstanding Student Award" was presented for the first time.

The salaries of all faculty and staff were raised. The school administration was further computerized. In addition to the original tasks such as grade statistics, grade reports, and salary calculations, the school fees were computerized. The board of directors held a special sponsors' meeting to comprehensively revise the charter, re-define the school's educational policy, the board of directors' lineup, and the responsibilities of the organization's directors.

April: The Kuala Lumpur City Hall convened a meeting and announced the government’s plan to redevelop the Ho Ching Garden site and expropriate the school’s land. After discussion, the Board of Directors submitted a letter of firm opposition.

December: Vice President Chen Yonghai retired (served the school for 40 years, 1957-1996). President Lai Xingxiang resigned (1988-1996).

Implement the school’s key development plan:

 In line with the key development program, the school focuses on streamlining and integrating the curriculum, adjusting class times, and doing a good job in classroom teaching and class management to improve the teaching and learning efficiency of teachers and students, focusing on students' learning methods, and cultivating students to learn how to learn and how to be a good person.
The board of directors approved the allocation of $100,000 to renovate the sports field and build a running track, which greatly increased the usable area of the sports field and further improved the campus environment. It also allocated $350,000 to update 70 computers and build a tiered lecture hall (small lecture hall). The computers were replaced from 386 to Pentium II 400 series.

The first series of special lectures on "Join Hands Together to Create an Educational Paradise" was held to further deepen the work of teacher development. From the beginning of this activity to the end of November, a total of 50 lectures were held.
A sponsors' meeting was held and a new board of directors was elected. Afterwards, a planning group was set up under the school construction committee to actively prepare for the construction of a new teaching building.

The new teaching building was officially opened and named the Huang Shishou Teaching Building.
In the new school year, we look forward to building an excellent office culture, good living conventions and excellent work policies.
All computers in the original two computer rooms were updated, a third computer room was added, and an art room, counseling room, student locker room, dormitory study room and fitness room were set up.

All classes in the school are full-time. We vigorously promote the theme teaching plan and implement ecological teaching and research activities for science classes (biology outdoor research and learning project). We require students to fill in the parent contact book so that parents can better understand their children's learning progress and strengthen parent-teacher and parent-child interaction. We set up a canteen operation supervision team. We revised the salary system for teachers and staff and provided special seniority salary and multiple reward systems.
Won the National Championship of the Fulian Youth Debate Competition for the first time. Won the Best Performance Award (School Group) of the National Blood Donation Campaign for the first time.

The English courses for junior high school and senior high school have been changed to the Just English interactive small class teaching model, and classes are held in the English Center.
Cancel the second semester midterm exam to relieve students' exam pressure.
Dormitories were relocated off-campus. Emergency evacuation drills were conducted to raise students’ safety awareness.
During the March holiday, outstanding students in the public examination went to Xiamen, Quanzhou and Longyan in Fujian for study tours. This was the first time the school organized an overseas teaching activity. For the first time, high school loans were issued to replace the high school scholarship system.
The installation of multimedia computer projectors in all classrooms was completed, and the school's teaching model entered a new era.
The first Xunzhong Education Seminar was held in Port Dickson from November 29 to December 1.

The score for promotion and retention was raised to 57 points. The conduct points were raised to 3 points. The one-classroom-one-computer plan was implemented.
February: The first National Literature Award is launched.
July: A grand groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of the auditorium was held on July 12. The salary system for faculty and staff was revised.

Focus on promoting character development education. Experiment with holding student keynote speeches in the weekly meetings of the second and third grade, and have students host the weekly meetings.
The first English Literature Award was introduced. The Chinese and Malay Literature Awards were combined to form the complete "Xun Zhong Literature Award".
April: The second fundraising and celebration banquet for the auditorium was successfully held on April 17. A total of 4.55 million yuan was raised.
July: Successfully hosted the 2010 Independent Chinese Secondary School Education Forum (Character Education) on 11 July.
On July 16, he won the 2010 Tan Kah Kee Cup National Independent Secondary School Examination Excellence Award.
October: The first campus open day was held on October 31.
November: A roof was added to Guoguang Building to prevent leaks, provide insulation, and increase student activity space.
December: Established sister school relationship with Yongping Senior High School in New Taipei City.

While taking care of the all-round development of students, the school began to focus on personalized education so that students' individual strengths can be fully developed.
The Board of Directors meeting in January 2012 approved to increase the living allowance to RM300 and it will be implemented from 1/1/2012.
Our school has been awarded a 5-star certificate for “School Quality Standards Evaluation” by the Ministry of Education.
February: The first workshop for new teachers in school-based education was held on February 3rd and 4th. This workshop was also open to new teachers from friendly schools.
March: Successfully hosted the Independent Chinese Secondary School Education Practice Sharing and Exchange Conference on March 10. A total of 190 education partners from all over the world participated.
May: Our school and Taiwan Changhua Normal University jointly organized the "Overseas Credit Course for Chinese Independent High School Teachers' Education Empowerment" and officially started classes during the May holiday. This course is divided into 4 stages and is designed to train 25 young teachers in our school. The school will bear all tuition fees for this course.
Our student Qiu Junhao (graduated in 2011) represented Malaysia in the Asian Physics Olympiad in May and won the HM Special Award.
August: The 4th International Volunteer Service Exchange Activity between Xunzhong High School and Yongping High School in New Taipei City, Taiwan was successfully held from August 9 to 16. The biggest feature of this activity was that the directors and parents of both schools also participated in the volunteer service activities. Our school volunteer service team also went to Taipei for the first time at the end of December to conduct this international volunteer service exchange study.
November: The teachers' office, co-curricular office and counseling office were renovated and a loft was added.
December: Our school debate team won the championship in the 5th Elite Cup Asian Secondary Schools Chinese Debate Open Competition.

This year's focus is to strengthen the learning community model and transform the long-standing joint lesson preparation into a professional learning community.
The Board of Directors meeting approved to increase the living allowance to RM450 with immediate effect.
May: Preparations for the 60th anniversary celebration of Xunzhong High School began.
November: Organize a stage drama training camp to celebrate the 60th anniversary of Xunzhong High School.
At the end of 2014, the Academic Affairs Office, Discipline Office, Planning Office and Sports Office were renovated and a loft was added. The newly added space was used as teacher offices, the Senior Group Office and the Student Activity Center. The physics, chemistry and biology laboratories were renovated and equipped. A platform was added to Qixinyuan, and the original ground floor was expanded to a cafeteria. The relevant equipment began to be used in the new school year of 2015.

This year, the focus is to continue to deepen the learning community model, focusing on cultivating students' thinking, creativity, leadership, knowledge, character, reading and international mobility to become true talents (world citizens).
The board of directors meeting in December 2015 approved changes to living allowances, increases in medical insurance premiums and allowances, and will be implemented in 2016. The measure of holding classes on alternate Saturdays has been implemented.
April: Invited to participate in the 1st International Confucianism Debate Competition for Secondary School Students held in Shandong, China and won the championship.
May: From May 14 to 20, the second batch of teachers from Hsinchu High School went to Taiwan for professional training (PLC). From May 30 to June 1, our school once again hosted the KL-Selangor Eight Independent High School Track and Field Championships, and Hsinchu High School athletes won 11 gold medals.
November: On November 5, the third graduating class of high school held a dinner in the auditorium to celebrate the 50th anniversary of graduation and to raise funds for scholarships. They raised NT$250,000 in scholarships for their alma mater and donated NT$20,000 to fund the inter-curricular activities of Xunzhong High School.

Continuing with the core mission of 2017, we strive to implement high-level thinking, creativity, leadership, knowledge, character, reading and international mobility based on the image of secondary school students.
The board of directors meeting in October 2017 approved a plan to reduce the number of classes teachers teach per week and include living allowances in the calculation of monthly salaries, which will be implemented starting January 2018.
March: The English Teaching Center's computer-related equipment, which had been used for many years, was completely updated. For the first time, a centrally controlled virtualization system (EDVI) was adopted, and servers and 140 computers were replaced.
May: From May 22 to 30, the board of directors and teachers of Xunzhong went to Shanghai, Nanjing and Hangzhou, China for an educational investigation. The delegation visited many famous universities, such as Shanghai Fudan University, Shanghai Jiaotong University, Nanjing University and Zhejiang University; and visited and studied at Nanjing Xingzhi Education Base.
The 5th floor toilet of Guoguang Building has been expanded and renovated, and lockers, changing rooms and bathrooms have been added. A solar water heater has been installed on the rooftop to provide students with more convenient living facilities during the school holiday camp. The equipment was opened for use at the end of May.
October: On 13 October, Mr Huang Shishou, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the School since 1975, passed away.
November: Construction of a new library began to provide a better study space for students. The new library is designed with floor-to-ceiling glass, combined with the green courtyard outside to make the view space wider and more natural. Free Internet access is provided inside and outside the new library to facilitate students' learning.
From November 20 to 27, 20 teachers from our school went to Taichung Tunghai University to attend the professional development workshop and visited Taichung Wenhua High School for on-site learning. Our school became a sister school with Taichung Wenhua High School on November 26.
December: The classroom multimedia computer equipment that had been used for many years was updated with short-throw projectors, interactive electronic whiteboards, and multimedia all-in-one terminals (with built-in virtualized computer terminals) to serve all teachers and students in the school; the music room, 2 craft rooms and 4 science laboratories were equipped with the same configuration.
The entire campus network is being rebuilt. The plan adopts a ring network construction, equipped with new firewalls, network load balancers, switches and wireless base stations at all levels, and fiber optic links are laid between floors. The internal network speed can currently reach 10G, and space for future expansion is reserved. There are a total of 3 Unifi (bandwidth of 800Mps each) broadband networks for external use. The new equipment will be used in the new school year of 2019.
The school started to repaint all the buildings. The first buildings to be repainted were the Guoguang Building and the Lee Kuo College Science Building. Then, during the holidays, the Huang Shih-Shou Teaching Building, the English Teaching Center, the Administration Building, and the Auditorium Complex were repainted one after another.

Principal Zeng Xianrui retired, and the board of directors hired former first vice principal Luo Hongxian to run the school. The school's key task is to develop more creative teaching plans through the operation of the teacher professional learning community (PLC) to cultivate students' high-level thinking and improve their problem-solving and innovation abilities.
March: Due to the outbreak of the new coronavirus, the Movement Control Order (MCO) was implemented nationwide. In response to this measure, the school replaced the physical teaching mode with online teaching mode. All teachers and students in the school took classes at home, and classes were suspended but learning continued.
June: Students began to return to school for physical classes. In compliance with the SOP stipulated by the government, the school adopted a parallel approach of online and physical classes. All students in the school took turns to return to school for physical classes in the form of A and B classes.
The current Form 3 students will only take the Unified Examination in December, and the school will hold a graduation ceremony in January 2021, and the Form 3 students will officially graduate. Form 2 students will also be postponed to March 2021 to take the SPM examination.
